I believe that every individual should be availed of the opportunity to reach their full potential. For vulnerable individuals, the provision of quality, accessible targeted services is critical in achieving this outcome. To do this scaffolding and retaining quality staff is key, which is one of my strengths. I am described by my staff as an inspirational leader who is focussed on outcomes. Someone who leads by example and manages to deliver quality outcomes in complex service delivery, whilst creating a positive work culture that promotes resilience as well as results. As a leader, one of my key achievements was obtaining the best staff feedback survey results in the organisation whilst growing and developing services. A positive culture enables the development and delivery of contemporary evidence-informed best practice across the lifecycle from birth to aged care. As an individual, my success is derived from a passion for quality service delivery framed by sophisticated system development, organisation and prioritisation skills. I have demonstrable strengths in innovation, strategic growth, building networks and stakeholder relationships. In South West and Western Sydney I grew and diversified the service delivery by 700%. I utilise excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence and present key advocacy agendas and issues prevalent in the sector to inform social policy.
As the National Program Director with The Benevolent Society, I was accountable for the professional leadership, development, innovation, quality, growth and design of service delivery from peri-natal to aged care programs. Further, I oversaw the operation and development of the Out of Home Care and Social Benefit Bonds (a new and innovative approach to funding of services in Australia) programs. In this roles I was responsible for executive leadership and management, detailed financial management including budget modelling and P&Ls as well as asset and facility management.
