That's a wrap!

The 2025 conference was a resounding success, bringing together over 680 attendees, 70 trade exhibits, and more than 20 expert speakers for two dynamic days of innovation and digital transformation. The event fostered insightful discussions, showcased cutting-edge solutions, and provided valuable networking opportunities, all contributing to a stronger, more forward-thinking aged care sector.

Program highlights

The ITAC 2025 conference showcased the power of innovation and digital transformation in aged care, bringing together thought leaders, industry experts, and technology pioneers. The program featured a compelling lineup of keynote speakers and panel discussions that challenged conventional thinking and explored the future of aged care. Global Futurist Anders Sorman-Nilsson opened the conference with insights into data driven person centered care and forward thinking innovation, encouraging delegates to embrace change with confidence. Dr. Catherine Ball’s keynote delved into the evolving role of AI and robotics, highlighting how emerging technologies can drive meaningful improvements in care delivery.

Throughout the conference, expert panels and discussions tackled key issues
such as data-driven decision-making, sustainable digital transformation, and
the importance of governance in future-proofing aged care organisations. 

Roald Versteeg led an engaging session on leveraging data to enhance care outcomes, while Regan Stathers shared Whiddon’s experience in navigating cyber security challenges and adopting a proactive approach to digital transformation. Johan Locke from Australian Multicultural Community Services explored how technology can enable home care providers to better anticipate and respond to client needs, particularly through AI-driven solutions that enhance communication and record-keeping. Stephen Johnston wrapped up the event with a thought-provoking keynote on the future of ageing, offering global perspectives on demographic trends and their implications.

ITAC 2025 reinforced the sector’s commitment to harnessing innovation and technology to improve care, drive efficiency, and create a more connected, sustainable future.

The ITAC trade exhibition was a hub of innovation, featuring over 65 booths showcasing cutting-edge technology, software solutions, and forward-thinking advancements in aged care. Exhibitors provided hands-on demonstrations and valuable insights into the latest tools designed to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and quality of care. It was an incredible opportunity for attendees to explore new solutions, connect with industry leaders, and gain practical knowledge to drive digital transformation in their organisations.

The ITAC Awards 2025

The ITAC Awards were a highlight of the conference, celebrating the outstanding finalists and winners who are driving excellence and innovation in aged care. It was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the individuals, organisations, and teams whose contributions are transforming aged care, community care, and retirement living services. Their dedication to enhancing the quality of life for older Australians and shaping a more sustainable future for the sector was truly inspiring.
