Precis

Aged care providers face intense scrutiny, not just from regulators but also from users of the service, their families, communities and the broader public. The demand for assurance is growing, yet a heavy compliance load can crowd out vital modern governance priorities like sustainability, digital innovation, workforce strategy, AI and cyber risk.
But what if compliance wasn’t a burden, but a core enabler of good governance?
This dynamic panel discussion will explore how aged care organisations can reduce the burden of compliance by embedding it within a contemporary governance framework. The result? Strengthened board assurance, a more empowered leadership team and a sharper, contemporary focus supporting long-term success.
Featuring the latest global governance insights, common industry-wide trends and case studies from the aged care sector, this session will show how reframing compliance helps transform board assurance, director engagement and strategic clarity.
This is a must-attend session for Chairs, CEOs, Directors, Company Secretaries, Executives and governance professionals looking to ‘meet the moment’ and shape a more agile, accountable and future-focused governance model.
Attendee Takeaways:

1. Understand the difference between Compliant Governance and Contemporary Governance, and why aged care organisations need both.
2. Practical strategies to integrate compliance within a governance system that enables Boards and Executives to focus on future-facing priorities.
3. Insights into the unexpected benefits of a Contemporary Governance Review, including improved assurance for all stakeholders, stronger leadership alignment and renewed strategic energy.
