Anita Bonanno has extensive experience in leading and delivering complex community service programs across aged care, disability, and allied health sectors.

With a strong background in strategic leadership, service innovation, and operational management, Bonanno has successfully overseen a diverse portfolio of community programs, including Home Care Packages, centre-based respite, allied health services, residential aged care, and independent living initiatives. They have managed services supporting more than 1,050 clients and led multidisciplinary teams of approximately 117 staff, while also undertaking the role of Acting General Manager, demonstrating executive-level leadership and organisational capability.

Bonanno brings deep expertise in policy development, review, and implementation, particularly within the evolving landscapes of NDIS reform and aged care transformation. They have represented culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities through national working groups and sector forums, contributing to policy development and improvements in service accessibility and inclusion.

A passionate advocate for social inclusion and empowerment, Bonanno has been instrumental in designing and implementing innovative pilot programs that support young adults with disability to build independence, develop life and social skills, improve financial literacy, and achieve meaningful employment outcomes. These initiatives have secured government funding and contributed to the broader development of NDIS-aligned supports.

Bonanno has also played key roles in organisational governance and compliance, including COVID-19 response planning, outbreak management, SIRS reporting, grant management, and accreditation processes. Their leadership reflects a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred services that strengthen communities and improve outcomes for individuals and families.
