Anne Muldowney is the senior policy officer at the Older Person’s Advocacy Network (OPAN). She holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), and a Master of Social Policy and has more than 30 years’ experience working with and on behalf of people of all ages with care needs and with caring roles. Anne has participated in National Aged Care Alliance advisory and strategic priority groups and in elder abuse prevention and response for over a decade, playing a key role in researching, and advocating for aged care policy and service improvement. She is dedicated to promoting human rights in relationships between older people, their families and carers, and aged care service providers.

A panel comprising an older person, a provider and an advocate will outline their views on how to provide aged care services consistent with the Statement of Rights, better address and prevent issues arising and improve complaints management. You will take away tips for turning the Statement of Rights from a poster on the wall to the everyday lived experience of older people using aged care services.
