Cassie Mason is the State Manager of the SA/WA Ageing and Aged Care Local Network within the Australian Department for Health, Disability and Ageing. Cassie brings two decades of experience across government and non-government sectors, with a strong focus on ageing policy, adult safeguarding, retirement villages and aged care reform.

Prior to her current role, Cassie held senior leadership positions as the Senior Executive Community Services at UnitingSA and statutory Director and Executive Director of South Australia’s Office for Ageing Well, including fulfilling the statutory role of Registrar of Retirement Villages. Cassie has led a range of significant South Australian Government initiatives, including the establishment of the Adult Safeguarding Unit under landmark legislation, major reform of the retirement village sector, and leadership of the Aged Care Workstream as part of the SA Health COVID-19 response.

Cassie is a passionate advocate for inclusive, person-centred approaches to ageing and aged care, and continues to drive innovation and collaboration across the sector.
