Chris is a born and bred Tasmanian. He holds a Batchelor of Commerce from UTAS, and completed his MBA studies at Monash Mt Eliza business school. He began his working life as a CPA, working in industry in Tasmania and Victoria before moving into technology and working as information system director for large corporations in the mining and resources industry.
Chris established Synateq in Hobart in 1999 and for 27 years has overseen the development and delivery of large scale software systems such as the Tasmanian Child Protection System, Working with Vulnerable People system, Victims of Crime Case management, MyBond rental bond management, Workers Comp Insurance system and many more.
His philosophy has always been to find smart ways to use technology to improve people’s lives, and at the same time deliver better business and community outcomes, and the development of Riskteq has embodied that same philosophy.
