Emma has served the aged care and community services sectors for more than 10 years in senior management and operational roles with a focus on innovation, quality systems, strategic planning and clinical governance.

For aged care, Emma has held leadership positions with several residential and home and community care providers in Western Australia and Victoria. Her community service sector experience includes working as a chief operating officer for a youth organisation where she oversaw the development and implementation of its strategic plan, as well as successfully securing government accreditation. Her passion and dedication for developing teams and services equipped to respond to the most vulnerable people in the community led her in 2021 to launch her consulting company, Preempt Consulting.

Her early clinical career included nursing in general and specialist medicine at tertiary hospitals in Perth and Fremantle, culminating in nurse management roles in Melbourne. Emma is an APHRA registered nurse and a  member of the Australian Institute of Clinical Governance. She holds tertiary qualifications in nursing from Notre Dame University and Curtin University and has certification in frontline management.
