Governance readiness: preparing for the new aged care act
A senior executive with experience in management, leadership, corporate services, project management and business activity reviews. Experience working with State Governments (Tasmania and NSW), Commonwealth Government and in the Not For Profit sectors.
Professionally, Glenn is the CEO of Christian Homes Tasmania Ltd, a not for profit aged care provider providing residential, homecare and independent living services to the elderly in Southern Tasmania. Glenn h as held this position since 2019 and has turned around the finances of the organization which is now developing a new aged care precinct comprising residential aged care, assisted living, independent living units and a Home Care program all delivered fro m a single site. This substantial development will be the first of its kind in Tasmania.
Previous positions have included Deputy CEO of OneCare Ltd, Official Receiver in Bankruptcy for Tasmania, Deputy Commissioner and forensic accountant for the Tasmania n Corporate Affairs office, as well as numerous positions with the Tasmanian and NSW Health Authorities.
Glenn is the voluntary Board Chairman of Community Transport Services Tasmania (CTST) and was previously a State Councillor for the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Glenn is the Commodore of the Montrose Bay Yacht Club. Glenn is Board Chair for Pearl Home Care, a franchise HomeCare provider based in Western Australia with franchisee operators throughout Australia.
Glenn is a presenter for the Tasmanian Emerging Community Leaders Program and has been a guest speaker for the University of Tasmania Master of Health Service Management (Aged Care) course. Glenn is a qualified accountant and is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and Fellow of Governance Institute and Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries. Glenn is also a
graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
