Care minutes – the challenges of meeting compliance
Irene Mooney has worked in the Aged Care Industry since 2000, in a variety of CEO and Executive roles and has operated a consulting business working with the industry, covering both Not for Profit and For-Profit sectors. These positions have afforded Irene the opportunity to work in large organisations to achieve their governance, clinical governance, strategic gaols, growth, and diversification strategies and to support smaller rural operators providing localised community services, her current role as CEO with MYVISTA, an ethnically diverse organisation has added great diversity and insights as a leader and industry representative.
Prior to working in the aged care industry, Irene worked within the WA health care sector (hospital, community, and mental health) in rural and regional locations as well as the metropolitan areas. Holding positions as an Executive Member, senior leader and clinician, educator, and organisation development positions. Irene has contributed and given back through mentoring and membership on a number of Boards and Committee’s and see this as a positive way to refresh and grow the aged care and health care sectors.
