Janine leads the national audit program to ensure high standards of care and safety for older Australians. With extensive experience in regulatory oversight, risk management and audit operations, Janine plays a critical role in strengthening the Commission’s capability to detect, prevent and respond to non-compliance in the aged care sector.
Janine brings over 18 years of experience across government and regulatory environments, with strong focus on driving evidence-based improvements in service quality, governance, and accountability. Prior to joining the Commission, Janine held senior roles in State government, where she led large-scale audits and policy reform initiatives.
Janine has worked at the Commission since 2021 in a variety of roles and commenced acting in the Senior Director role in December 2024.
