Around the world, Blue Zone communities show us that environments can encourage movement, purpose and connection, all key to living longer, healthier lives. This panel will challenge assumptions about the built environment, asking whether our focus on minimising risk is leading to the creation of environments that unintentionally foster frailty. Bringing together experts in design, care and ageing, this conversation will explore how we can strike the right balance to design settings that are safe, yet also promote wellness, activity and dignity for older people.
