Evonne Miller is a Professor of Design Psychology and Director of the QUT Design Lab, at Queensland University of Technology. Her work focuses on how human-centred design, co-design and creative methods can translate bold ideas into practical innovation in health and aged care systems, redesigning services, environments, and technologies. She has particular expertise in designing future-ready care environments, exploring how architecture, robotics and emerging technologies can work alongside the workforce to improve experiences and outcomes for older people. Her recent book, Redesigning the Unremarkable, documents how sustainable, salutogenic (health-promoting) and playable design principles can transform everyday environments into places that support wellbeing, engagement, and connection.
