Sharon has a breadth and depth of experience spanning 40 years in Health and Social Care much of which has been spent in the Independent Aged Care Sector. Sharon joined BallyCara’s Executive Team in March 2019. Sharon has held several Executive leadership roles within for profit; charity; housing and not for profit organisations. Sharon is a change agent. She is committed to helping people and organisations be the change they want to see.
Sharon has extensive experience serving on international boards as well as holding a National role in the UK to positively influence policy and outcomes for people who use services, organisations and the wider systems. Sharon is a skilled Speaker and has presented at National and International events. In 2016, Sharon was awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours for services to nursing and the not-for-profit care sector.
