Optimising dementia care in aged care: insights from allied health professionals
Susan Williams is the NT Client Services Manager for Dementia Australia. Susan has been with Dementia Australia since 2010 and oversees a team providing support, advocacy and education to people living with dementia and their families. The NT team engages with diverse stakeholders to ensure Territorians can access timely diagnosis and quality dementia care. The team employs a flexible, bespoke approach to deliver services across the NT to people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Susan has a background in psychology and believes having a foundation in ‘person-centred care’ is what helps to ensure we see the individual first, and the dementia second.
