The road ahead: understanding government reforms in aged care

Trish has led the Service Delivery Division in the Ageing and Aged Care Group since March 2023, continuing the Australian Government’s delivery of aged care reforms. Trish is responsible for the Local Network – a team of people connected in their local communities across every state who are ensuring the system works effectively and older people who need aged care are at the centre of the system.

Trish has a long career in health across a broad spectrum – from managing the quality and safety of Australia’s blood supply to leading the delivery of the National Cancer Screening Register which provides a national data system for cancer screening programs. Prior to joining the Aged Care Group, Trish was responsible for COVID-19 vaccine operations.

In addition, she has over 15 years’ experience in the public hospital system at the clinical interface as a radiochemist.
