Queensland’s aged care workforce – panel session
Vanessa Moran is a consulting workplace psychologist with extensive experience partnering with government agencies and not-for-profit organisations to enhance leadership effectiveness, workforce capability, and organisational culture. Her work centres on the practical application of behavioural science to address complex workplace challenges, particularly within highly regulated and human-centred environments.
Working across both public and private sectors, Vanessa has designed and delivered capability-building programs for frontline and senior leaders, including targeted initiatives such as Women in Leadership and leadership development focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has provided expertise into the design and delivery of organisation-wide culture and engagement diagnostics, and has led initiatives to strengthen employee wellbeing and redesign onboarding programs to enhance early engagement and organisational commitment.
Her recent work includes partnering with Ageing Australia, on an initiative to support providers in attracting, integrating, and retaining migrant workers, developing for industry practical, evidence-based strategies that respond to workforce challenges in regional and culturally diverse settings. Vanessa brings a consultative, evidence-based approach, ensuring solutions are grounded in best practise and co-designed with industry stakeholders to align with the aged care sectors specific needs and operational realities.
