As the Head of External Affairs, Huon leads outreach for the HCSN Pilot (2025–2027). This initiative addresses critical threat-sharing gaps identified in the 2023–2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy.
Huon’s background spans strategic policy roles at the OECD, UNIDO, and leading Australian think tanks. Notably, from 2023–2024, he led the development of Australia’s first Telecommunications Resilience Profile, establishing a national cyber governance framework. His previous experience includes leading the Extreme Events and Future Scenarios Research Cluster at ANU and designing a whole-of-defence Indigenous cybersecurity career strategy at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI).
