Joel Reading is Ozcare’s Group Manager Risk and Compliance and Director of Hospital Services for Canossa Private Hospital.

Joel brings more than 35 years of experience across healthcare, governance, risk, compliance, and executive leadership. He joined Ozcare in 2003 following a 15-year career with Queensland Health, where he held a range of senior management positions, including District Manager responsible for overseeing public hospitals across a geographical region.

During his time with Ozcare, Joel has held several executive leadership roles spanning residential aged care, community care, governance, and operations. He now leads the organisation’s risk, compliance, privacy, internal audit, and clinical governance functions, working closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to strengthen governance and organisational performance.

Joel holds a Master of Business Law and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.
