Maree started her career in country Victoria and has gone on to become a driving force of innovation in aged care.
As CEO, she unified Alzheimer’s Australia into Dementia Australia and helped revolutionise the sector through world-first technologies like the Virtual Dementia Experience, EDIE, and the BrainTrack app—pioneering the use of AI and virtual reality in dementia care.
A Member of the Order of Australia, Maree has driven major national impact, including securing $229 million in federal funding for dementia and a further $13M for CTE in 2024.
She serves on the Board of Alzheimer’s Disease International and the International Federation of Ageing, and is Patron of Batten’s Disease Research and Support Australia.
