Building Viability to Continue: A Defensive Strategy for Support at Home
Several quarters into Support at Home, the published financial data tells a clear story. A small number of providers are pulling ahead financially. Many others are working hard just to hold their ground.
This session is about turning that around. Jennene Buckley works alongside providers right across the country through the Support at Home transition, and in this session she shares a razor sharp, prioritised set of actions any provider can use to strengthen their financial viability under current settings.
Rather than more commentary on the challenges, this session gets straight into what providers can do next. It walks through the practical drivers of viability under Support at Home, including how accurately individual budgets are being managed, whether Care Partner ratios and caseloads stack up financially, how margin is protected on items at cost and associate provider arrangements, and where reconciliation, pricing discipline and overhead efficiency can make a real difference to the bottom line.
It also covers the KPIs and monitoring data providers need so they can track their performance under the new program with confidence, closing the gaps in the monitoring many providers currently have.
Each area comes with practical questions providers can ask of their own organisation, and the levers available to respond, without compromising quality or client outcomes.
Attendees will leave with a prioritised set of actions they can take back to their organisation and start using straight away, with a clear sense of where to focus first to build lasting financial viability.
This session is designed for CEOs, CFOs, finance leaders and operational leaders responsible for their organisation’s financial sustainability under Support at Home.
